Welcome to the Foundation Phase
At Rockview College Foundation Phase, we nurture young learners with love, structure, and purpose. Our CAPS-aligned curriculum is delivered through a Christ-centred lens, ensuring holistic development — spiritually, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.
With small class sizes, peer support, and a family atmosphere, our learners grow in confidence, character, and curiosity. We believe in laying strong foundations for future leadership and lifelong learning.
Subjects Offered: Grade RR–3
Rockview College follows the CAPS syllabus, which offers six core subjects for Foundation Phase learners. In addition, we enrich our curriculum with subjects that prepare learners for the digital, practical and spiritual world they are growing into.
Blue List (Language Choices)

Green List (Compulsory)
- Mathematics
- Life Skills
- Social Science (Geography & History)
Yellow List (Additional)
Offered at Rockview:
- Agriculture
- Computer Skills
- Bible Knowledge
Note: Learners choose two subjects from the blue list (one Home Language and one FAL). The green list is compulsory, and the yellow list enriches our learners’ experience beyond the standard CAPS offering.
